Scaled Scoreとは？
Scaled Score（へんさち）とは、テストの点数が全体の中でどの位置にあるかを示す指標です。MeanをScaled Score50として、そこからどれだけ離れているかをStandard Deviationを基に数値化します。
日本の受験や模試で広く使われており、異なるテスト間で自分の成績の位置を比較できるのが大きなメリットです。
Scaled Scoreの計算式
Scaled Score = (Your Score - Mean) / Standard Deviation × 10 + 50
例えば、Mean60点・Standard Deviation15点のテストで75点を取った場合：
(75 - 60) / 15 × 10 + 50 = 60.0
Standard Deviationとは？
Standard Deviationは、データのばらつきの大きさを表す数値です。Standard Deviationが大きいほど点数のばらつきが大きく、小さいほど平均付近に集まっていることを意味します。
Scaled Scoreの目安
- Scaled Score70以上：Top 約2.3%。Excellentな成績。
- Scaled Score60〜69：Top 約6.7〜15.9%。平均よりかなり上。
- Scaled Score50〜59：Top 約15.9〜50%。平均〜やや上。
- Scaled Score40〜49：Top 約50〜84.1%。平均〜やや下。
- Scaled Score30以下：Top 約97.7%以下。
